2015 Buck
« on: October 15, 2015, 05:27:00 AM »
Shot this heavier than average spike on 10/14/15. Far above average weight for a spike in my area and absolutely full of thick fat. Used my 52# Silver Tip. He's gonna eat good.

Congrats to one of my favorite "gangers".  Still trying to dust the rust off here.....and waiting patiently for smoke pole season to end.

Thaks fellas. Ill tell you what bud, I didn't scale him but he was the biggest spike Ive ever killed and Ive killed a bunch over the years. He was THICK with fat and Id guess 150#s +/-  a couple on the hoof, they get big up there with crops going all year and an abundance of mast and apples.

Congrats!  That's good eating right there.....I love me a plump lil' spike buck that's been feeding off lots of good stuff.  I too have taken a few over the years.  A couple in N.Y. even.....Pittstown state forest.  You are blessed to have been given the opportunity to take him!  Excellent job
