First Elk - Self bow

2016 Backcountry Hunt. Tagged a nice little three point Bull. Taken with a 60# yew wood bow of my own making and a surewood shaft tipped with a Zwickey Eskimo. A trophy to me.

Awesome!!!!! It does not get any better than killing something with a bow that you created, whether it be a squirrel or a 6x6 bull elk. Your elk falls right into a true trophy!

Great job! Looks like he came into your calls! Tell us the story! How long have you elk hunted for? 3 years here and no elk...But next year will be my first with the stick!

Yes Hell on Wheels he sure did come into my calls. I will have to write up the story when I get a chance.
