The future?
« on: March 18, 2008, 06:53:00 AM »
Well, we've seen bow & arrow technology improve beyond all imagination, since they were first conceived. Broadhead & fletch technology is improving day by day, but what about the humble pack-frame? Getting a large animal out of, or a large amount of kit into, the back country has always been a slog.......until tommorrow perhaps?

I sat in open-mouthed, slack-jawed awe watching this.

Amazing!  Now they just need to make one that has a stealth mode and I think they will be in business.

and at 2.7 million a copy, you could own a full packstring of horses, hire a wrangler full time, feed and vet them, and still have 2.4 million in the bank!!!

I see Defense Department written all over that thing.

It's 2 guys with really skinny legs in a robot suit.  They had to justify all that funding somehow.  The 2 project leaders made billions!

I'm putting in my request for funding.  I need 2 people with amazingly strong but insect thin legs.  Double jointed hips wouldn't hurt either.

A very loud recording of a bee is also required.  I can get the speakers and an mp3 player.
Take a kid hunting!

You would think that a muffler wouldn't be that hard to engineer for that beast.  Quite amazing though!

"I sat in open-mouthed, slack-jawed awe watching this."

Me too, eyes the size of horse apples!
If I saw one in the woods, I would have to go the SSS route. Spooky. Bad mojo! Debbil Dawg!

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
