Getting blood off limb ?

Hi fellas I was cleaning this bow up off the form and when I was grinding the skiev joints I didn't know I cut my finger when I picked up the lams they stained with blood ,there maple & it sucked it right up I tried cleaning with acetone but a no go ,there is probably not a answer but figured I would throw it out or maybe some way to mask it ?

Peroxide??

Might test on a scrap first to make sure it doesn’t bleach the wood.

Yea I test some scraps no big deal my bows are mostly hunters so pretty is as does ,but would like to start as nice as I can , I'm just happy to get a good glue up on my first !

Well I have all of the above Im in a good spot to exsperment I havent front profiled the bow yet so more will be ground off !

You can try this: sprinkle baking soda on the blood stain then dip a soft bristle brush (an old toothbrush works well, especially for the size of the spot in question) in white vinegar and scrub the spot.

At least you can say you've drawn blood with your bow  :laugh:

On a serious note, that has happened to me a bunch.  A little sanding does the trick for me.  I guess you don’t have that option on that bow though  :dunno:

Thanks by the time I got the front profile done and sanded it was looking better its still there but minimal , its a hunting bow so Im sure there is going to be other beauty marks eventually !
