My first attempt to post a follow along style hunt in the new forum, here goes.
We packed up the quads and set out for about 10 km quad drive to set up camp, the trail was full of peat water runs and low areas, so a little bit of winching went on to get the trailers through.
Picture is quads loaded up with gear for trail in.
Once into hunting area, I try not to use the quad much, just to retrieve game and get it out to processor quick.

We found a great camping spot in some large spruce, it was adjacent to a creek and beaver pond and a morning walk to our hunting spots (tree stands). Moose sign proved to be fresh, every night a cow would walk through camp at about 4 am, waking us up in a good way.

You are posting thumbnail pictures, which is fine.
After you select your picture from your PC or phone, just to the right of the little window where the picture name appears, click ( Insert Attachment 1 ). That will make the picture full size in your post. For second picture click insert attachment 2, and etc for more pictures.

Well camp was all set up, so here comes the hunting. The area was new to me and really a nice piece of forest. The first couple mornings not a lot of sign or calling but as we got closer to the weekend I had gotten several responses and sign was picking up.

Friday morning arrived, I would try a new area several Km's from where I was mostly hunting. I called in a bull, but was not able to see him to get a shot, but knew the area was holding moose.

Friday Afternoon was getting into the area and setting up tree stands. We picked a small creek and Sedge flat with several clearings running into it. I set up in the north arm of a clearing and my partner in the south end.
A quick trek out to change cloths and gather hunting gear and back to the stands.
Here we go!

Shortly after getting settled in our stands, we could hear activity in the lake to the north (but could not confirm, ducks, beavers, other wildly things or MOOSE?). After a several calling series and waits, a bull let out a roar (never heard that before -thought we were in Africa hunting lions....lol). I could again hear some splashing in the lake north of us and was sure it was moose. A couple more calls and waits I then heard antlers hitting on trees. (It sounded like both a cow and bull were coming our way. As they hit the area where we walked in, hell broke loose and then quite.....bummer. They came to our scent line and busted out.
Within several minutes (likely longer) I could hear another animal coming across the lake, after each 10 steps or so it shook like a dog....hum. This animal was coming our way and seemed to be moving more westerly than the first one or two.
A couple calls and it was coming (right down the run I was sitting at). As it stepped out, a branch that I forgot to trim, was in the way t. My partner called and he came a couple steps more. but I still could not shoot, due to the branch and my draw. My partner put down his call to ready himself for a shot, the moose heard him do that and moved forward to a perfect spot. As the moose step forward, now he was past me and I moved to the edge of the stand and drew. I released when he was about 25 yards, perfect shot, arrow fetch buried in his chest.
half stayed in the chest and half passed through and was broken off in the grass.
He went about 60 yards and stopped at the creek, coughed several times, rocked and then took off.
As we got down, it took sometime to find blood and as we started to trail him a rain cloud let go. As fast as you would see blood it was washed off the sedge leaves. As we proceeded around the creek bend, I lost the trail (as soon as I said I had lost the trail I looked down and there he lay)

As we started to dress him the other two moose from earlier were letting out cow and bull calls for most of the time. We got some quick pictures and headed back to camp after a work filled evening.
