I found an old roadbed next to some water, there was hog sign everywhere due to the abudance of white oaks, but I had yet to lay my eyes on my first hog, the sign said they were there, but our paths just hadn't crossed yet.

I was blessed to have my wife along on this trip, she doesn't hunt but she enjoys getting out and enjoying the outdoors with me, she's also a great photographer.

Can breakfast get much better than bacon, eggs (cooked in bacon grease) and a nice cup of coffee...

We found some real interesting scenery and still found plenty of hog sign, but I still hadn't seen a hog, but I was still doing a lot of exploring just trying to feel my way around the WMA.

I enjoyed my hunt in Georgia, I covered a lot of ground, I got to spend time with my wife, I didn't kill a hog, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a success. I learned a lot about the area and The next time I have a couple areas that I can concentrate on more heavily on my next hunt, and there will be another hunt. So stay tuned, I'll figure this DIY hog hunting out. Thanks for joining me on my journey.
