For those not aware,
Bernie has been fighting cancer and in January, after he and his life-long wife Rose were napping, she did not wake up. Bernie disappeared from the forums due to this devastating loss and due to his computer crashing. A very kind member here on TG bought him a tablet and drove to Bernie's house and delivered the tablet and gave Bernie a quick tutorial on using the tablet. While Bernie still fights the hand he's been dealt by life, he also fights on how to adjust from a laptop to a tablet.
Hang in there, Marine. You are family here.
Bernie posted this in the TGMM forum. The new site here on TG has him a bit discombobulated as well.

Hi. y'all and the usual (heartfelt) thanks. Some things a little better (eating a little more regular, and gaining a tad of weight, dealing with being alone a little better) and Some not so much so (arms still like sticks but healthier looking, trouble with taxes - never had that before but just can't wrap my mind around it now and keep making stupid little mistakes - am in/on extension now and have made an appointment for Mon. with a professional to straighten out my mess). LOL - I swear I'd just let it slide (if possible) but THEY owe ME over 2 and a half thou - so that ain't happening - LOL
My mind is just not coping as well as it used to but I'm pretty sure it is just more than I can seem to deal with, and not a serious loss or failure of abilities. Still haven't got back to daily exercise program but know I must - SOONER THAN LATER!
Please keep pulling for me and I will check in from time to time (as I feel up to it). Just don't expect too much out of me for now.
If someone could (and would), I would appreciate if you'd copy my post to TG I still love and miss all of you dear friends - I am just missing Rose more, I guess
