Utah Turkey
« on: May 04, 2018, 05:56:05 PM »
I haven’t posted much in a while...seems life has been real busy the last year or so.

Was able to make it out for the Utah turkey season.  Had a gobbler come to about 40 yds within an hour of daylight opening morning...but my setup wasn’t great and he wouldn’t commit...fast forward an hour and the rain stared to fall, so I just hunkered down in the blind. It let up after a half hour or so and I hit the call pretty hard. Heard a faint gobble quite a ways off and a few hen clucks closer.  About 15-20 min later, I hear a gobble super close.  Look out the blind and he is approaching fast at 30 yds.  I knock an arrow and get ready...see him come in view, and draw and hold.  He comes to my jake decoy, struts and begins giving him the what-for.  I pick a spot and as he turns I push through my seer, and drop the string. He runs about 50 yds and flutters to a stop.
My biggest to date and my first rio grande...also first with ILF gear.

For those wondering...58” recurve, Morrison riser and trad tech limbs. 56@29 gold tip 400 trad arrow, full length, 50 grain insert and 150 grain snuffer

Congrats.

After you select the first picture, click insert attachment 1.

After you select the second picture, click insert attachment 2.

Etc for up to 6 pictures.

Hit the enter key a couple times to separate the pictures as you insert them.

Cell phones take huge pictures.
Go into the phones camera settings and change the size pictures it takes to something way smaller..
