Used powdered campfire coals last year. Did the job and easier to wash off than any prepared product I've tried. Just grind some up, and pour into a small jar (used a 5 hour energy bottle). Smear it on whatever needs darkening. Probably works as a scent neutralizer/cover scent as well.

What ever you use - don't forget the "Baby Wipes".  I made fun of the outfitter when I was in BC and we were hunting on horses for 10 days each time.  After a few days, I was asking were the baby wipes were at. Ha  Good for cleaning the entire body as well as face paint.  I don't leave home with out them.

I'm interested in this also. I've never really used facepaint but I have a buddy that uses it all the time and he kills a lot more critters than I do, (Maybe he's just a better hunter than me?).....Nah

Hardy Facepaint for me. I like the applicator, it doesn't get stiff or itchy when applied, and wipes off easily. Plus, it appears to be a small, family-run business.

I gave up the face paint with the commercial camo.  Now I can go from the diner to the woods :goldtooth:
