stickhorse and St.Jude Items
« on: July 02, 2018, 11:11:44 PM »
To all my high bidders on the St,Jude items. I have some of them sent out, and I have some to build yet.
I am on the edge of the Colorado Spring Fire ( 52,500 acres burned so far with 10% containment as of now)We are in a pre-evac status now.
Long story short If I have not contacted you yet I will and I may need a little extra time to get things built.
out my front door as of now
Thanks Bob

Oh no! I hope they get that contained quickly. We’ve had a lot of moisture, but it looks like it’s gonna quit so we could be in that same boat very soon.
is it September yet??

Brad,1.5 miles to the mountain property. 4 miles to the house and hay fields. the mountain property fire will have to go thru the housing area first and I think they will fight it hard in that area.

That’s a little good news in this I guess, but I’m still praying for a quick resolve.  For the record, any of you guys that are waiting on St. Jude stuff from Bob, trust me it will be worth the wait. A more standup person there is not on tradgang.

Bob,

Best of luck with the fire.  Concentrate on the family and property, a few more months or longer to receive the fly's isn't going to hurt.

Oh ya, I caught a 23" brown on the Madison last Sunday using a caddis pupa fly you sent with last years St. Jude's fly's.  I would post a picture but Hunter is holding the them hostage .
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Walt , Hunters salt water flys and your stone patterns went out on sat. Ray Hammond's went out, and Scott Lyman's has been shipped. the last of the flys for st. Judes is one set of red fish flys to Pete McMiller to finish up the flys. I think all other items have been sent also, except for the Quivers that need to be Built.
I would hold Hunters fly box for ransom till I got my pic's. :biglaugh:
When you get it please post or PM it.

That's a nice fish Walt, pics would be nice :goldtooth:

Bob, glad you and your property are still safe.  Hope it stays that way.  Take all the time you need on my flies - I won't be needing them for months anyway.  Had fun on Joe Wright Reservoir last week and caught a pile of Grayling.

Well we are back at the house, were e-vaced a couple of days. Had to move all the horses and mules. House is fine no damage.(this fire has claimed 141 so far and still burning, up to 106,945 acres now) just got computer service today & cell service. they lost a lot of towers and power lines in this mess.

Will be contacting the winners of the St.Jude Quiver in the next couple of days so we can get them going.
Have misplaced the tracking stubs for the items I have sent out, if you did not get your items please let me know.

Thank you Bob

Bob,

That is good news!

As promised, here is a picture of the brown I caught on the Madison a week ago Sunday, using one of the fly’s I got from you for a 2017 St. Jude’s winning Bid:

I apologize for the quality of the picture, I looks really good on my iPad but fuzzes out when I attached it here.
