At about 10:30, just before it gets dark at around 11, what I thought was a big boar came in. When it turned broadside at around 12 yards I picked my spot and made the shot. The bear made what sounded like a short run with a crash at the end. Arrow passed through and was stuck in the ground. Came back the next morning and recovered my bear at the end of about a 50 yard trail. I was surprised to find out it was actually a bear I had passed on earlier in the evening. A big dry sow rather than the big boar I thought I shot. The pic make her look bigger than she actually was but like I said I couldn’t be more happy with my bear.
I was shooting my 56” TimberGhost g3ss TD, 53#@28” and a GT 340 with 250 grain VPA.
