Mentors
« on: July 15, 2018, 09:03:04 PM »
Hey guys I mentor lots of kids. I actually like it more than hunting myself anymore. It’s actually harder but so much more fulfilling. Lots of kids need this so welcome someone to tag along, show em how to shoot. Take the time to help em study for hunter ed than set em up to succeed.
One cool thing I do is give them a momento afterwards. I normally carry a couple Buck woodsman say if I was deer hunting w a kid. If he/she got lucky we’d dress it together, I’d clean the knife off and give it to him. They aren’t crazy expensive and the kid will cherish that knife forever.
Take a kid hunting, you’ll be surprised  you get more than you give

Great post.  Those kids will remember your effort and treasure those knives for a long time.

Good stuff!
"A good hunter...that's somebody the animals COME to."
