On July 4th, my son Jack was drawn as the winner of the TGMM Youth Bow Giveaway. On behalf of him and myself, we would like to say thank you to TGMM, Maddog Traditional Archery, Mike's Archery Leather, and Mr. Blaylock (BudB) for making this almost 4 year old smile from ear to ear! From the bow itself to the arm guard, arrows, and finger tab - nothing was skipped; all very well hand crafted items! A week after the 4th, we had a box show up on the porch - I knew what it was!!! Jack opened the box this past Friday morning. Unfortunately we had a downpour in Northern Michigan that morning so the 4 year old has his patience tested before we could go shoot the new bow! Rain let up around 1000 and boy was he ready to get outside! Not too often does he eat breakfast with his shoes on, but that day he did... "I'm going to put my shoes on so when it stops raining I'll be ready to go" he said. After a basic introduction and thorough explanation of safety and the do's and dont's he was off on his own doing it "just like Dad". Not sure who was happier, I couldn't stop smiling all weekend. Each morning he would wake and say, "Hey Dad... you ready to go practice with our arrows?" Over the coarse of the weekend, Jack is nocking his own arrows and shooting very well! This boy is over the moon! Again, thank you to those who were involved with this great gift! He's going to enjoy this for some time to come. Lastly, Jack has already decided that when he passes along the bow, he wants to make some blue arrows to send with it!
