2 Tri lams for Friends
« on: July 16, 2018, 02:43:30 PM »
I've been trying to get a couple of my friends into traditional archery, so I let them pick out the colors they like and I made them these 2 bows.

1st bow - Osage/walnut/bamboo, 50#'s @ 28", 65"ntn
2nd bow -Ipe/hickory/bamboo, 52#'s @28", 65"ntn

I need to get a full draw of the ipe bow.

Two good looking bows - well done.  I really like the dark handle on the ipe.
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

Thanks guys.
The osage belly and walnut and hickory cores were from Kenny, btw.
Roy I like those Madake poles.  Thin walled stuff but seems to be tougher than Moso so far.
That's wenge on the handle.  I'm loving that dark brown.

Happy recipients.  One is shooting bulls eyes in his hallway, and the other shot a few shots in the garage last night.  I think they are hooked .

Cool on the madake.

I found it to be thicker on most of the poles.

Guess some are thinner.

But it's great boo...
