My Maddog Prairie Predator!
« on: July 19, 2018, 01:01:27 PM »
Well, words can't describe how happy I am with how my Prairie Predator turned out! Mike sure was great to work with and he did a fantastic job on this one for me. Osage riser/limb core, purple heart accents and green glass. This bow is just fun for me to look at! :goldtooth: I was up bright and early this morning and hit the woods not far from where I live. Did some shots to get a feel of her and I'm very impressed. I don't have a chrony but, I don't need one to tell you, it shoots faster than the GN Lil Creep I had. Maybe due to design? For those who have been following me, I can tell you, I won't be hitting the woods with any bow but this one now! It is extremely light also. I call her the "Goblin" :biglaugh:

Specs: 62", 40# @ 28". Arrows are Black Eagle, cut 29.5 bop w/125gr tip. Wt. 430gr total. GN adjustable quiver w/green hood to match.

Sharp looking rig there!  Congrats on the new bow.  I can believe the craftsmanship is top notch from Mike @Maddog (Son won the youth bow he made).  I sure know I'm dropping spare change into a mason jar and when it's full I'm going to be talking with Mike for an order!

Enjoy shooting the new stick!

Very nice. I am thinking about one of his follower extreme longbows. His prices are VERY reasonable. So you're happy with the quality of the workmanship?

Absolutely! This is my third bow from Mike and I wouldn't hesitate to have many more. Mikes bows are meant to be hunted and not wall hangers.

I am happy for you.  I felt the same way when I got my Prairie Predator from Mike.  I am not even a longbow guy!  Mine is 62" 45lb @ 27".  I have to admit I still love my recurves and that is in no way a hit against the Prairie Predator!  It is one heck of a fine bow.  Congratulations to you Wannabe1.  Fine looking bow.

Awesome bow!! I have two of Mike's bows, a Predator, and a Follower Extreme. Both awesome, and fast bows. Nice and quiet too. He is also great to deal with. I may have to get another one. Congrats!!!

That IS a fine looking rig!!!!  Hope Mike put just enough luck into her as he made it to make your season a good one and a full freezer!

THAT is one good looking bow!  If it shoots half as good as it looks you have a tack driver!!!  Enjoy!

She looks great and will only look better as that osage ages. What do you think of the osage limb cores so far.

Osage and Purpleheart are my two favorite woods. I've had many bows with this combo so, hope that tells ya! :-)

By no means! I just won't be shooting them for a while as this will be the only bow shot 'til after my season ends. :bigsmyl:

Impressive I had a buddy that had one but it had the shelf cut on the wrong side. Sure did want to shoot that thing.

I'm pretty happy with the performance of this one. It will be go to bow for sometime I think! I have picked up a few recurves. I.E. the Bears, a Dalaa and a TT Titan riser but, longbows have always been my mainstays. I really hope to take my first deer with this one this season!
