Apache glove help!!
« on: August 02, 2018, 08:16:54 PM »
My dad passed on most of his archery gear and equipment to me. It was about a 50/50 split of trad gear and wheelie bow stuff. I found this glove in the mix and thought I’d give it a whirl. It was a little stiffer leather with less string feel than what I normally shoot. But after a few rounds of arrows, I was really liking it. Now it has become my primary glove, and would love to have another(or something similar) as a backup.
Only thing I know about it is the Apache stamp, and that it is probably from the 70’s(maybe early 80s). Anyone know anything about it? Still made? Suitable replacement?  I can’t find anything on it.

Looks very similar to the NEET gloves. They also have very thick leather and have an almost identical construction.

Those NEET gloves are very good. Comfortable, cheap and effective. I replaced mine after 10 years (the finger wore out) with a different type of NEET glove and I'm depressed that I didn't replace like-for-like  :knothead:

Cordovan is leather (made from horsehide).

Yes, Cordovan is a type of leather but VERY different than ANY other leather available.
