Ive seen a few pictures of guys with wood arrows that appear to have been dipped full length with white paint. They look like they would be great for small game and stumping. Is this done with a dip tube and the same paint as a cap dip?

I do mine with Home Depot Krylon spray can. I dip them 2 coats in Min Wax water based Polyurethane Clear Gloss or Satin. They come out nice and white. These are spray crested. I've done full shafts he same way with equal quality.

I recall back in gym class they would show us 8mm Ben Pearson hunting movies and he used full-length white shafts (for better visibility on the screen).

I've crown dipped some white (they look great with natural turkey fletch) but found in snow that yellow was a better option.

Snow i always have had great luck with bright pink. Problem is squirrel season here the woods are so thick that even sometimes a regular cap dip and 5" white or pink feathers can be tough to spot.

I use a can of krylon white paint with a foam brush. 2-3 coats of white followed by 2-3 coats of wipe on gloss poly. Fletched with 2 yellow and 1 red. Great for 3D and stumping. Get kidded that they are fiberglass fishing arrows but hardly loose them unless they go skipping off the back of the target never to be seen again.

gasket lacquer used to come in yellow and white, not sure they do the yellow any more but that is a simple method for squirrel arrows

I saw Rouge River sells full color dipped carbon arrows. I don't know what would hold up for long stumping. Bohning lacquer is probably the toughest but full length dipping them would probably knock you out with the fumes. The stuff works but those fumes are just too much. I went to Try North water based dipping paints but never tried full length dipping. That is tough stuff too but it's so humid here right now that it won't dry.

just get exterior white and a 1" PVC pipe (what ever length you want the dip to be) + 1" cap + 1"x3" reducing fitting + 3" coffee can cover,,,, leave paint in tube with coffee can cover over 3" opening should last a bit....

make two especially if you want to build up the mass weight!!!! the 2nd is long enough to dip a full length shaft so you can seal over the dip one or two times depending on how much arrow weight you want to build up.

drill a 1" hole thru anything so you can put these tubes in so you don't have to secure them.

I hunted with white arrows last year. I used Surewood Douglas fir shafts and full length dipped them in Bohning white Fletch Lac.
High gloss and looked great.

I used to dip full length with Fletch Laq and the long dip tube from 3Rivers. I thinned the paint and dipped twice. These are woods I am referring to. Made these up for myself and son.

I used Rustoleum spray on for both my cap dips and my full painted shafts followed by a full length (actual) dip in poly. I've used white as well as other colors.
After nearly full season of target shooting almost daily, they are holding up fine.
Rustoleum is nearly bulletproof once it sets up.

I did full length dips in white. I made a full length dip tube out of pvc I had, and mixed rustoleum 50/50 with thinner. Put on three coats, there is a ton of runoff, and they came out nice. Glossy, very durable finish. Did some yellow too. Hard to beat a full length white arrow.
