Riser Insert Repair

I have a screw in riser mounted Selway Quiver on my Bear Grizzly. While shooting tonight the top insert (bushing) came loose causing my quiver hood to disconnect from my bow. What is the best way re-install the insert to insure that I can screw my Selway quiver back into the riser?

If your riser insert is a tube (hollow threaded) make sure the quiver mount screw is shorter than the hole in the riser, else you will press the insert out as the screw is tightened. A fine-toothed hacksaw and file works great, with screw held in a vise. Proceed to the next step.
If the screw is shorter or the insert is a closed-ended, proceed to glue it in with a 2-ton 2-part epoxy, and let cure 24 hours, before mounting the quiver.

What coil spring says. One additional thing to keep in mind. When you remount the quiver bushing, do not mount it below the level of the riser wood. Mount it flush or just slightly proud. If you mount it below the surface, tightening the quiver screw/bolt, even if it isn't too long for the mounting bushing, will pull it out. Good luck.
