Reduction in width = reduction in poundage %
« on: August 23, 2018, 07:24:26 PM »
I called binghams a while back and spoke with them about modifying their 2 inch form to a 1.5 inch form. Awesome 25 year old thinks he can remember everything of course so I didnt write it down. I think they said reducing the limb by 25% from a 2 inch to a 1.5 would reduct the drawweight an equal percentage. So for the same thickness used that would have yielded a 50# bow on the 2in form I would instead get a 50x.75=37.5 pound bow.
What do you think?
Have a happy Thursday!
Ty

sounds about right. width reduction reduces poundage proportionately, and depth reduction by a factor of 8.

That's what I've always heard also...
Stay sharp, Kenny.
