Stepping into the light.
« on: August 26, 2018, 12:25:09 AM »
Good evening Gang.
I have spent alot of time outside the light ring of the campfire listening and learning. I figured it was time to introduce myself and join in the conversation.

I laid down the mechanical arrow launching device in the mid-90's and have been shooting a recurve ever since. Started hunting with a Bighorn, now a Blackwidow. As of recently, I have been traveling down the selfbow road with the quest of building a bow that I am confident with enough to be my hunting rig.

Pictured from right to left; hickory bow with a dozen cedar arrows for the wife, my girls first bows, first osage bow with dozen sitka spruce arrows and my current osage project bow.

I appreciate this great community of like minded folks and I hope to add to it.

Brian

Welcome Brian

Best
Lex
Good hunting to you all.
May the wind be your friend, and may your arrows fly true,
Most of all, may the appreciation and the gratitude of what we do keep us humble......

Thanks for the warm welcome, fellas.

Roy..Thank you for rotating the picture, it looks much better when it is done correctly.

Fattony...this year was my first year. The finished osage bow pictured was started there. It is a great event with great people. I am looking forward to many years of OJAM.

Terry...A visit to the nocking point is on my list every weekend but the "honey-do's" have superceded those plans as of late.  I will try to swing by next weekend before I head to the mountains.  Also, thanks again for the arrow building tips, they turned out great and are flying like darts!
