At 82 I wear gray wool now because it most closely matches my beard.

Nice tip Ron, thanks I'll have to keep that in mind next time I'm shopping for some wool. That's why us young greybeard pups need to lay on the porch and listen to the ole dogs passing on their wisdom.

M60 Gunner,yep the stride is a little shorter,body ain't what it used to be,but still have to muddle thru.I figure my best years are in the rear view mirror,but I can still pass a little knowledge on.take care bud.

Thank the Good Lord I just turned 65 two weeks ago, and I am doing ok. I am about to grow my bead back for the upcoming hunting season. At this point my beard is still salt and pepper and what little hair on top is not yet gray. But to be gray is not all bad according to Proverbs 20:29 The glory of young men are their strength, and the beauty of old men are their gray head.

I'll be 67 in a few days, and have been grey for 10 years. My beard is white, and I always told everyone that is why Harry, our little Maltese and I were inseparable, we looked so much alike...…….

Turn 70 in a few weeks and I still have pretty good hair, just a little gray at the temples

as for the beard, I never could grow one ... just a stash that took two years to grow, took so long to grow I kept it for 27 years !

Don't let M60 Gunner fool ya, he can still shoot plenty good !

I'm still young compared to some. Turned 50 in July and even though the facial is pretty much all grey, the head is still sporting some good color!

The change in color is called “character”. Kind of like weathered wood that has stood up to many a storm. Just shows we have a lot of experience and tales to tell from our journey....and for those who will listen, maybe some advice too. So wear those colors well. Just shows you have a tale to tell!

Mine has been gray for as long as I can remember.

I noticed several years ago that deer noticed my beard. Now in hunting season I trim it a little closer, and wear a head net if the weather is cool enough.

Been doing this a long, long time now. Pushing towards 72....

Lucky, my hair was/is blonde so the grey just makes it a bit lighter. There is enough of it still in place to make me happy. The beard, however, is pretty much salt and pepper. That's OK with me.

Well, we may be getting older and greyer, but at least we can still get out and chase the cagey buck. How much smarter are we all now compared to the youngsters that started hunting all those years ago? However, we all still get fooled by a wise old boy every once in a while (or more often). Actually, some of the slickest deer I have run across were savvy old does.

Don't have to be old to be an ol' silver fox.......at 53 I'm pretty much mostly silver.....all those good Irish genes from my grandmother side and a little bit of nature for sure.....

66 this year and the beard has been whitening up gradually for years, and what is left of the once brown hair is mixed with a lot of grey. No matter, I have been using Spandophlage (or whatever) head nets since the beginning so nobody even notices and I don't worry about it
