I’m pretty sure from your description, you’re not going to get a 58”, but you should seriously consider a 60”. If all you were going to do is shoot 3D or targets, you might be happier with a 62” or even a 64”, because they would be slightly smoother to draw and slightly less finger pinch. However, if you intend to hunt with them, every inch you cut off the length will give you more shot options in tree stands, blinds, and the brush. If you plan to do both, a 60” would be a good compromise. Besides, you already have very fine 62” takedown recurves. Why get in a rut?
A bow will perform best when drawn close to stacking. Thus a 60” bow will perform better when drawn to 27.25” than a 62” bow. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you will be more accurate with a 60” bow, but you should get a few more fps out of it.
