1850's Style Tippit Knife
« on: August 28, 2018, 03:51:49 PM »
Fired up the forge today. Started 10 1/2 inch knife from 5160 carbon steel, ground and fitted to bear tibia bone. Next to quench & temper then glued & pinned blade to bone. Finally poured pewter bolster and tea stain/antique bone & blade finish....

Looks like it would fit the hand well, making a good using blade.
