It has been a while... NM Elk Hunt
« on: August 29, 2018, 10:42:16 PM »
It has been a few years since I have last posted but thought this would be a good time to start again.  Drew out for the first elk season in Unit 34 (New Mexico) and I am ready to go.  I will actually have time to focus on the hunt with getting through with pursuing a degree and being overloaded at work!https://www.tradgang.com/tgsmf/Smileys/tg/banghead.gif

Have my 60# SA II BW tuned and have fletched up some Grizzly Stik "Safari's" and like what I am seeing.  Taking the Adcock longbow for a backup.  Really struggled on which to use for my primary choice.

I have hunted this spot several times before and it is a bottleneck between the water and bedding area. Hunt them like whitetail with minimal calling. Hopefully I can be posting a success story this time next week!
