turned a compound into a recurve
« on: March 26, 2008, 06:52:00 PM »
found my old parker buckshot riser, which I have been wanting to warf but never had the chance, until now!! I put a set of 63lb limbs on it and they worked like a charm, though the bow draw waaaaay heavier than listed!!

Details man! Did you go ILF or direct bolt-ons? How long is the riser, what modifications did it take?

oh i see you got jokes!!
haha!
not really much details red44, didn't take any mods, just got the limbs and bolted them to the bow, as for the riser it is a perfect 16" long.
just put the limbs on and shot as much as i could!

Is there just one bolt on the limbs? Do you at least have a pin or anything going from the riser into the limbs?

Your riser is set pretty far behind the limbs. I'm guessing that is why you are pulling so much weight.- Pup

Pool, can't you slack the limb bolts up a bit. The quarf I did allowed at least 10 pounds of adjustment. That would certainly make drawing the bow easier until you build up enough strength to lock them down.-Pup
