Elk Hunt Pics
« on: September 02, 2018, 10:19:07 PM »
Was very fortunate to have the opportunity at this Colorado public land cow elk. Shot was 8 yards and she only made it 75 yards with the Magnus Classic still in her heart!
I was shooting my Zona Recurve
52#@26” 58” amo
Goldtip Blem shaft 28” long with 100gr brass insert and the 175gr Magnus Classic Single Bevel
Total arrow weight was 584gr
Went through the shoulder and stopped in the offside shoulder. Blood trail was pretty good for only one hole.
I had my Covert Trailcam set to video mode and it captured the shot!
Good luck to you all This season

Well, after watching again I think it knew something was up but never looked your way. It was apparent she felt the Magnus

Congrats!  I would have been a little nervous watching her fun off with that shoulder shot.  Glad it worked out.
