A thoughtful tribute indeed. Looks like Pop’s a staunch Bear fan with Super K and Springarm full of razor heads.

Great post, best wishes to your dad.  Obviously it was important to you, and him to spend that time together. Cherish the memories.

I too have a similar story about my dad. He was my mentor, hero and about everything else that was good. To this day I wear something of his every time in the woods and his spirit is always with me. Spend as much time with your dad that you can. I was at my dads side when he passed and his last words to me was" Its ok son I am going to bowhunting heaven". He passed away on the first day of WV bow season.

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers, sadly my dad has passed away, this will be my first bow season without him, I plan on not just honoring, him in the woods, but also honoring him outside the woods. He taught me so much and I am passing those things on to my kids. I was able to speak at his funeral and I ended with this...."Dad in heaven may the bucks always be rutting, may the turkeys be gobbling, may the fish be biting and may the squirrels be cutting on hickory nuts....Dad, I Love You!
