Thanks to all for following.

Charlie, hugs to your family. good luck in the Timber.

Spent 10 hours in the stand yesterday where I last saw Angus. Then the rain moved in at 4 pm and it is still pouring now as I type. The good news is Angus is still on his feet. This still photo taken from a video the day before yesterday. Then that evening I got him on the video in the same pot 4 times as he follows a hot doe back and forth thru this funnel. This is where I spent all day yesterday. I did have a great 10 point 20 yards away yesterday at 9 am but no shot was offered. saw a total of 12 deer yesterday and passed on a doe, hoping he was on her tail.

Hopefully the rain will stop soon so I can back out after him

The day this photo was taken I was only 300 yards away sitting over my decoy.

Hey there Jim! Glad to see the 5 Pines thread going strong as ever! The rain really has things goofed up here in WI. Hoping it really cranks up when it passes though. Good luck on Angus! I’ll look forward to keeping up on your hunt.

Rained out here also gym, we did however see two real nice bucks chasing. I kind of got a picture of the one from the cabin window that you were at, it is kind of blurry since there was so much rain in the window

Monster! He's huge!.
I guess others feel the same way...I can only fantasize what it might be like to have a chunk of property like that. Thank you for posting the photos and doing it without a bit of humbleness that lets us know you understand how awesome it is to have such a playground!  Dang I need that powerball to workout!

He looks massive! If you get him, I hope you have a scale to weigh him on. Would be interesting to see!
Good luck!

Man Jim he looks like a Bulldozer! Please keep us posted on your daily hunts and praying you get your tag filled and wrapped around his antlers soon! This is by far one the best posts I have always liked to see each year of your hunts and daily diary .

Jim, dress warm and be careful getting in and out of stands as the cold weather sets in. If Angus comes by, you'll be waiting for him.

Not sure If that is an old plow at the top of his shoulder but he looks more like a "JOHN DEER" plowing a field... Had to come back and look at him again this morning. Go get him Jim.

Jim by those three recent pictures those bucks stay on that trail pretty good.Looks like you really do your homework in setting stands and praying you soon get that tag on Angus. He is surely one of a kind and again I thank you for taking us along . :archer:

Jim, you did good passing that last buck. He's young. I am a weaker man lol but I know you would have been playing the what if game had you plucked the string. Even worse you are doe hunting and Angus walks past.

Just in for a quick bite and then will head up to the Angus stand. The wind is switching to the south as I type.

We are having January temps . it was 13F above at sunrise . Yowza!   The high today will be just 22.  I am off of work totally for the next 10 days and will attempt some dawn to dusk sits.  The buck movement yesterday was just insane but none of the big guys came my way.
