Cody could I ask you a couple questions if you don't mind about your 66 in. sense I have a 68 in. of it in the que down the line  I'm a little curious about the shock , what string are you using & brace height and how wide did you leave your tips and what overlays ? I'm just curious about it could you please give a little more detail ?

Yellowwood- tips are 1/2” wide 1/2” thick including the stack. Initially using b50 14 strand now using 12 strand b55,which made some improvements. Adding my strap on great northern took up some shock also. Going to add cat whiskers tomorrow and see where that puts it. As far as severity of the shock it’s not a deal breaker. It’s always been less than that of say a flatbow just more than the 60”. The guys that have shot it at my local range weren’t really off put by it either. I just would not call it dead in the hand. It’s hard to describe come on over and shoot it.

Kenny- I have limited experience so I trust your judgement however isn’t running a superlam similar to running a longer riser? I was more of the weight school of thought. I was thinking a slightly heavier riser wood would soak it up.

The 60 That I built has hardly any shock. I would think this design to 66 in. would need 18 in. riser keeping the working limb shorter.

The 66” is Kenny’s other design. The 60”FHLB has little to no shock. Sorry for any confusion.

Come on up. The Kalamazoo expo in January is a good time and worth the drive. Lots of good speakers this year. Or come on up to Compton Father’s Day weekend. Still trying to figure out how to tell the wife where I’ll be🤫.
