Seen a real nice choc 10 pt this morn - then grunted in a smaller 9 to about 25 yds.  Worked all mid day and gonna chug some coffee and hunt the farm where the freak lives.....
Oh the big choc 10 was right on the heels of a doe and the 9 came on same trail 30 min later....things are heating up
Don't leave home without yer grunt tube

I've got a nice 8 out across the field from me right now. Hoping he heads this way like they usually do.

Well, the 8 point never did make his way to me. I ended up having 2 little bucks walk by that I could've shot. That's a lot of fun while sitting on the ground. My wife saw several deer, but never had anything close enough that she wanted to shoot. We will be back at it again in the morning.

Bucks really responding to the grunt tube right now.  Last night....Big n wide 8 I think headed down edge of field from where I thought big ones bedded. Gonna pass at 35....I let him pass a but then he starts a scrape.....I grunt - he stares.....I wait for him to move and start scrape again- I grunt again.....heads straight for me.....stops at 25 facing and can see through to other field and he don't see no deer so he left.....all I could do.  Heading back out shortly

Not much action to speak of this morning. I had one doe pass me right at first light and that was it. My wife saw a couple does with no buck in tow, then saw 3 more with a buck following them. She said he was probably in that 100-110 inch range so she would've passed anyways. This evening I'm on the ground going for broke. This spot is either gonna let me get up close and personal with a good buck, or get me busted. I have the right wind so I'm trying it out.

almost shot a decent 8 this morning at 6-7 yards. was trying to video it and went to move the camera and it came lose from its mount...there I was, with a bow in one hand and a camera in the other. OH WELL, I drew on him twice before I relized the camera needed to be moved.

he was coming to this scrape

I've been seeing deer but just too far at 25-35 yards... I want them at twenty steps or closer.. LOL  Happy to see all these deer and one day all will work out.

I had 5 different bucks in and around me this morning. ... doe beats and grunting had no effect on them. They just kept passing through.
One of them was a good 8 point that got inside of 20 yards, but where he was ( behind my tree), there was no shot opportunity.  He finally got my wind and that was it.  Very exciting morning! !!!!

Good luck, shoot straight and God bless,
Rodd

Big bucks are definitely out and about. My wife saw 3 really good ones last night, and I thought I was gonna get a shot at a stud of a buck this morning. Had him at 45 yards, but he just walked straight away from me. Wouldn't respond to a grunt call either. I'm on the ground tonight trying to shoot a turkey, and my wife is in a stand that a group of does comes by every evening. Hopefully she can knock one down and I can get a shot at one of these birds.

Just laid down in bed. My wife ended up shooting a doe this evening. She didn't know where she hit, and we couldn't find any blood at all for the longest time. I started working back and forth and finally picked up a little bit of blood. Well, we started tracking and got a pretty good ways and the blood stopped. I swung my light around and my wife told me to shine back at a spot. There she laid. The wife had double lunged her. That doe had to of went somewhere around 175 yards with both lungs knocked out. It was a really good shot, hard to believe she went that far and bled so little. Anyways, we just got all that put in the cooler and it's time to hit the hay.
