I just got word last night blue tongue has been moving through our area again.  The last 18 years have been horrible with it and our herd just can't recover.
I'm tempted to sell my place and move on.

Thanks everybody.  I am thrilled.  The ONLY downside is no buck tag till November.  I always love my 2 weeks in November before the gun season in the colder weather.  Cleanses the soul a bit for me

Cooler weather has them moving - was a great night last night - saw 18 total and had the freak and his 2 buddies come out at last light - had them at 30 or a little more....which is too far for me.
Stay after them boys

Strange thing this morning from a acorn grove brush blind.  Had 2 small 8pts come by about 15 yards away.  Then here come a little doe fawn running behind them.  I couldent pass that up and hit her perfect.  She didn't go far. Those treesharks are hard on game.

I went last night and 1 doe come by at 6:20pm. 35 yards and showed no intention to slow down nor come closer..... no worries,  says I. At least I'm seeing deer!

This morning found me running a little late.... I had trouble finding my rain gear. I wound up having a little 6 pt follow me to the stand.... about 10 minutes behind  me! He passed at 22 yards.  We have a point restriction, but doubt I'd have tried him..... Lots of season left!
