Thanks fellas!

Modad - Its a 62" Takedown Whip.  I had a Toelke and sold it.  Started kicking myself so I bought another one in a takedown model.  Sweet shooter for sure!

I'm thinking about calling Dan and ordering a 56" Pika.

Had another good night....hunting my pecan tree stand by the corn / wheat field that adjoins thick cover.  About 630 a lone'ol mule headed doe came slipping right behind the stand.  Caught me off guard when I caught a glimpse at 20. Now this stand has started squeaking to the point that last night I was spitting on all the bolt connections to alleviate this haha - so I was mindful not to shift my weight much.  Got my bow off the hanging branch just in time and hit her with the treeshark about perfect.

Well my vacation has begun. I don't go back to work til November 5th, so maybe I can actually shoot a deer in the meantime. Headed to our farm here in a bit looking to fill a doe tag.

Well I didn’t get it done this morn, had a doe come in at 14 yards unaware. Took my time drew shot and she got out from under it somehow . When I retrieved the arrow and lined up where it was back to my stand it passed the trail at less than 24” off ground . Wow their reflexes are awesome!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Had a spike walk directly under me this morning and also watched a doe fawn eating acorns for a bit. Pretty slow morning. I'm back along the river tonight close to home. I've already seen a couple flocks of turkeys, so hopefully that's a good sign for the rest of the sit.
