Big Jim!!!
« on: September 15, 2018, 03:38:34 PM »
I picked this up out of his IN STOCK section for under $700 with no wait time!!  Its a little light at 50# @ 28" but at my 30" its just right.  What a gorgeous bow and dang does it shoot.  Sold one of my handmade osae bows to pay for it but well worth it.

That's a good looking bow to be sure. I have never had the pleasure of doing business with Big Jim myself but hear he is top notch.

It was delivered in 2 days.  hard to beat that.  We had a pretty good discussion on selecting the right bow for my 30" draw.  He was incredibly helpful

Ok, so this thing is a shooter!!!   Ive hunted with either traditional gear or primitive my whole life and never have a shot a bow that handles like this.   Im not joking here folks, it has the best cast of any bow ive ever shot.  I have owned Robertsons, Bob Lee, Jim Brackenbury (still love his bows), Bodnik and numerous other makes but none of them compare to how this bow shoots.  Its smooth to draw and as i already said, the cast is unreal.
Its a 62" bow with a 28 draw and im drawing it to 30 with zero stacking.  Its quiet even without silencers.  Thus far ive been shooting bamboo, which it shoots very well, and trying several different types of woods and weights.  It shoots them all nearly identically.   Can you tell im infatuated?  I believe this is my bow for this season!  Now dont laugh at my deer target, that poor critter has been shot with bows, crossbows, 22 rifles, a couple handguns and several atlatls.   Its barely hanging on.   So, the shots were 10, 15 and 20.   These are indicative of all the groups i shot today.
