I don t drag deer when hunting near home. I was only a couple hundred yds from my house. The camera  card was full of nothing  pics so I hadnt gone through it which worked out because I never figured out how to post pics on the old version of this site anyway.

Nice Jim! Well Marvin I’m glad it was you. I wasn’t sure if it was the neighbor sneaking through your honey hole :)

AccuWeather

I find it to very true it’ll say things like “rain in 25 min” and by golly it’ll be right close to that.

Well I lucky enough to be invited to a friends property yesterday where I saw 10 doe throughout the day. At last light I finally was provided an opportunity and wouldn’t you know it I hit her right in the no go pocket bellow the spine. We tracked her for 300+ yards on a tiny drops of blood maybe every 6 feet. She finally pulled the arrow which had the wet watered down blood on half. After she pulled it we never found another drop :dunno: heart breaking when it happens for sure. Hopefully she’ll be fine and nature will provide me another opportunity to right my wrong.

Still waiting for things to pick up here-- acorn crop here is a bust-- rotting on the ground from all the rain. Apples are spotty but mostly poor. A little corn still standing but most of it was cut weeks ago. The puzzle is always part of the fun!

Passed a nice doe last evening, hoping for a buck to come through but didn’t happen.

I've been passing on does with fawns and yesterday 2 small bucks;  a spike and a 3pt. A lone doe or bigger buck has to come along soon. When I got home last night a young buck stood at the back edge of my lawn and watched me get out of my truck before spooking while I was get out of my hunting clothes on my back deck.Light wasn't good but he looked like a small 6pt.
