Out for delivery! It should be there when you get home today James!!!!!
Bisch
Bow arrived at the office this morning! Locked up tight in a wooden box with about 20 wood screws in it. Postal service is gonna have a really hard time hurting this thing lol.
Came home early to do a little test and tune. Unboxed it, set the brace at 8”, checked my nock point height, threw on a quiver and started shooting. Started out with a 30” Easton Axis Traditional with standard 11gr insert, 200gr point, and 10gr VPA collar. Here’s a few of my first few groups at 12 yards.
Very happy with how it shot out of the box. The grip is very comfortable, easily repeatable, and the right height for me.
Unfortunately those arrows ended up being a bit too stiff even after moving up to a 300gr point. I have a 29” draw like Bisch but I had to go to a little weaker arrow than him. Ended up pulling out some CX Pile Drivers I had sitting around that were 250(.400) spine and full length. I threw on a standard HIT insert with a 60gr ethics archery steel collar and 200gr point for a total arrow weight of 590gr. Quite heavy but I’m quite happy with the arrow flight and speed considering the arrow weight so I’ll be sticking to this setup for hunting.
Here’s a few pics of the bow strung up for everyone.
Randy did a great job with this bow. Beautiful woods, great attention to detail, smooth draw, good speed, with a very nice fit and finish. I will also say this has gotta be one of the quieter bows I’ve shot, not sure if it’s just the heavy arrow weight but I don’t think the animals are gonna hear anything coming, which is nice.
I’ll keep everyone updated on how the hunting goes. Hoping to head out this weekend and chase some pigs and deer.
