I want to do a couple of my bowstrings with tie in nocks. Does anyone sell it in small spools. I dont need 10 yards, just a few feet of .030 or so....Thanks, Scott

Just buy a spool if BCY Nock Tying thread, and you will be set for life!!!

Imo: bcys powergrip serving is a lot better than their nock tying thread. Its all I use for my customers.

I use Ryan Sanpei's knot, and look for something that is larger in diameter than the bowstring or the serving. I found that this https://www.3riversarchery.com/braided-nylon-bowfishing-line.html bowfishing line from 3 Rivers works well. It wears like iron, and the only reason I’ve ever had to replace it is if I decide to change it for some reason. As opposed to bowstring or serving, when using bowfishing line, I look for the smallest diameter line I can find, as all of it is quite a bit thicker than bowstring or serving.

You can just use nylon thread from Walmart for tied in nocks or if I have my nock location down I will do a permanent thread nock which if I can find the video I'll post a link. The guy isn't doing it on a traditional bow but it's how I learned to make a nock that absolutely will not come loose and how I do all my bows now once tuned.

I just do an adjustable tied nock till I get the bow tuned and then I mark it and redo it this way. Skip to about 10:45 and it shows him tying the nock

Maybe I'm missing something but everyone I know always used unwaxed dental floss and then when ya got it right a drop of super glue makes it permanent.

tim, used floss at one time. The serving material holds up a little longer.

I always used unwaxed floss in the past, but I've become a devotee of the adjustable tie-on nock sets using a nail knot. For me, there is nothing that beats the adjustability and low profile aspects of these.

Well, the Nock Tying Thread works great for me. Nock points are easily adjustable, and never move on their own.

Mine look like Kevin Dill's. I called it a constrictor knot. They never move, easy to do, adjustable and look sharp.
