I checked out the Full Mesh Boonie from Cabela's. Nice hat and good price.
Very good suggestions. Still considering them.
Thanks, Lin

I wear my traditional only ball hat from three rivers, turned backwards when I am shooting.

Buff,
I saw your video (great, by the way) and noticed the hat too. It got me thinking about fedoras. I'm sure I'll end up with one for cool weather hunting. Yours looks light weight enough for what I'm wantin.
Thanks, Lin

I think this Breezer from cabelas would probably work pretty good.
When it gets really sweaty hot, I go to a Do Rag too, it keeps my bald head from getting burned and keeps the sweat out of my eyes.
Where can I get one of those leafy boonie hats pictured in the post above?

An olive drab cotton "crevase". Can be purchased at Army surplus if you can find it. Comes out of the old first aid kits to sling a broken arm. Its in the shape of a large triangle and ties up around your head easily like a doo rag. I've used one for years.

I'm going to try this hat,
http://www.shoebuy.com/country-gentleman-dickens/231242/495537
It's the lite felt, with the vent holes on the side and real comfortable.

I gotta say I personally like a standard baseball cap BUT with the short bill! Man I just wear mine all the time. Nothing says your a bowhunter like a short billed baseball cap. I've gotten so use to wearing it when I put on a regular baseball cap it feels like I got a duck bill out in front of me. Personally I never could understand turning a baseball cap backwards. I've got buddies who go carping with me who do that then complain they can't see? Oh well more carp for me! Problem is they are hard to find. I've got one buddie who takes a standard baseball cap and cuts the bill to fit, heck it seems fashionable nowadays to buy new hats with the bill frayed so heck he's now in style.
