Crittergetter Bow re-finish and weight reduction
« on: October 11, 2018, 04:12:33 PM »
I sent two of my prized silvertips out to have the weight dropped as I’m still working through recovery following a bad car accident. It took some courage to ship off bows that are in fantastic shape to someone to anyone close to the stay of season.

I chose Randy (Crittergetter) who makes Primal Tech bows. Let me start by saying Randy is an honest man and a class act. Not only did he do a fantastic job on both dropping weight and re-finishing my recurve,  but he refused to work on my longbow I sent. It seems that he had already reduced weight on that same longbow before I bought it, and didn’t feel comfortable going any more.

That kind of professionalism and honesty can he rare. Randy refunded my money for the longbow and was able to get my recurve back to me in under two weeks. So, I feel he needs to be congratulated publicly as he is the kind of gentleman our hobby (passion?) needs. Thank you CritterGetter.

Let’s hope the pics do his work justice.

I believe he was able to get 4 ish pounds off. Feel free to message him about the bows. I know he got about that (and then some) off my longbow. It’s nice to get to use my equipment following that kind of accident.

Gotcha! But I’m keeping her for every one of the few days I got left. I really don’t want to send it in at all, but don’t want a lynch mob after me either!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
