We pushed it out of the way and headed back to camp. We hung up the meat and cracked a few beers and were sitting around the campfire, which wasn't going because of the wind, when I happened to look up and see a big tree coming down on us! I jumped up and the other 4 did as well as the tree crashed straight through our chairs and the fire ring. 4 of the 5 of us would have been hit hard if we hadn't moved.

We spent the next hour reclaiming our camp and cutting down every other dead tree near us!!

Congratulations on the moose and boy are you lucky to have not been hit by those 2 trees falling...what are the odds of that happening twice.

For those interested in set up. I used my fathers Black Widow MA2 from the 80s. 54@26#s. I draw 26" and use a 28" axis 400 with a 265 grain Simmons Safari head. 160 grain glue on with a 100 grain steel insert brazed in. Will have to measure total arrow weight? Hit was right at the backside of the heart. Bull went about 200 yards.
