Face paint during the archery season.  But only on my nose, cheeks and ears.  A beard and a good hat take care of the rest.

I spend most of the day still hunting.  But when I'm at a sit-spot for the early morning and evening, I'll use a Buff scarf over my nose & ears.  The paint rubs off throughout the day and the scarf is better camo.

For me, the paint comes off easier than burnt cork.  But it tends to stain.  My pant legs are covered in face paint smudges since it is sometimes several days before I get back home to wash them.

I've got to tell you all this -

I just returned from Namibia bow hunting.  While there and sitting in a blind with my tracker (black man).  I opened my pack and was showing him some of the items I use when bowhunting.  First was the puff bottle for checking wind.  He understood that and said it was "Good".  Next I showed him the compact of camo face paint with the little mirror.  He was confused, so I acted like I was putting it on my face for camo.  Finally he understood.  I offered it to him, he just laughed and said he didn't need it with his dark skin.  We both had a good laugh.
His name was Donatus (pronounced - Don't Ask Us") and has a son named "Toyota" as he was born in the back of a Toyota truck.  If you want to read more, watch for my article in TradArcher's World.
