300 grain broadhead for hogs?

going hog hunting this spring, but I'm green when it comes to hog hunting, here's my set up, 46lbs at 27", 610grain arrow, shooting a high performance hybrid. looking for suggestions for a 300 grain broadhead

I glued on a 200gr Tusker onto a 100 gr adapter cause it's what I had on hand and I'm cheap!  But I have ran that sucker through all kinds of game with no complaints. For hogs I prefer a 2 blade.

I've killed a lot of hogs and never needed more than my 135 grain Zwickeys and Woodsman heads.  Some I have just mounted on cedar arrows, and others I have mounted on 100 grain adapters for my carbons.  Total weight is around 500 grs.  Bow weight is usually around 45-50#.

Sounds like he's only asking about 300gr heads to get his arrow build where he wants it.

I was thinking an abowyer large bonehead with 100gr adapter, but wasn't sure if that would be to wide (1.5") but I guess Drew's pic proved me wrong!

Don't have any experience with 300 gr broadheads but in my experience, any razor sharp broadhead placed in the boiler room will do the job. My last 5 pigs were taken with 510 gr cedar arrows tipped with 125 gr Ace Standards out of a 45@ 28" (my draw length) longbow.

I have killed a few hogs over the years , I also like a good heavy arrow. I home brew my heads with steel inserts to get them 250-300gr is where most end up. Seems to work good for me , as far as heads go my quiver is always a mixture of many different heads. My take on it is for really big hogs I pull out a narrower head , good luck on your hunt..

Yeah but he also said that he is green when it comes to hogs. I am just trying to help him a bit from my experience on lots of hogs. That OK with you?
