Form Straps...

Here is something that might be for a good discussion...

Here is a pic of a bow form I just saw today...   The middle straps on this form are straight up and the ones on the ends are angled...

How do you orient your straps on your form and what is your reasoning why??

I do them similar but the end ones are not that close to ends.

My reasoning is to put them as square as possible to bow limb so the pressure is pushing straight down the strap instead of at an angle.

The center ones are also more square with limb...

Right or wrong, that's my story and I'm stickin to it! :)
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I really dont think it matters. The reason those in the pic are angled is they are more out on the end of the top part. Be less chance of it trying to flex. What is important to is the backing for the strap to lay on keeps things straighter also.

I have always angled mine but, don't really know why.  Most likely the first blueprints I acquired from Binghams were drawn that way.
