Trading off the pig
« on: November 05, 2018, 01:15:46 AM »
Well got a trade for my lipstick on a pig project. Found a fellow locally that has been trying for weeks to trade some stuff for a longbow. So looks like I'll be getting a cheap bear Sonoma takedown and a decent pellet plonker for barn rat patrol out of the deal. I know the sonoma is a cheap Chinese made bear but it will be nice having a simple takedown for bowfishing and small game. Anybody here ever mess with the sonoma

Yep, put a decent string on it and it's a new bow. I gave my 40# rehab Sonoma to my Dad to play with after I worked up to 47#

Picked up the sonoma before work. It's actually not a bad looking bow. Appearance and grip feel in the hand I like it better than a sage. I may build some arrows for it and give it to my dad for Christmas so he has something to take out to shoots with me.
