Years ago (about 30), I made a great shot on a stray dog that was trying to get in the pen with my female lab. I saw him out the window and got my 80# Jerry Hill longbow and an arrow with a rubber blunt on it. Of course, he took off when I stepped out the back door and was making good time getting away when the rubber blunt hit him in the ribs on a dead run at 40+ yards. Then he found another gear he didn't know he had.

Last week I actually split a fir shaft with another from my new Northern Mist American.  I think that counts as a Robin Hood right?

So am I. Never let them know you couldn't do it anytime you shot!  ;)

I shot a groundhog in the eye on purpose at ten yards. That was pretty cool.

My greatest shot was killing a mole at 150 yards! I was shooting arrows up in the air in a cut hayfield. When I pulled them from the ground one had blood all over the tip and first few inches of shaft. That was way cool!

Seems a bit high , you missed the heart ! Lol.
Seriously good shooting in the posts. I am still learning to shoot , had my best moments when trying to show my wife that I was a better with a bow than with a pistol.
Now to find the picture.

Stepped out of my truck on a hunt I had been invited to(everyone else shooting compounds) at 12:00 midnight as 6 of those guys were having fun launching arrows in the dark at 100 yards hoping to connect with the target.  Just a small dot barely lit up by the flood light of the bunk house behind them. One of the guys new me and asked me to join them, so I hauled my bow out of my truck and waked up to the line....all 6 of them bought Big Jim Thunderstick MOABS after that....don't believe me...ask Jim :saywhat:

A few years back we used to have these huge Fourth of July parties at my house when my stepson got back from Iraq. Probably at least 75 people every year. Well a number of my bowhunting buddies and families would come and we would shoot every year. One year we got out some aerial targets and a bunch of fluflus. One of my older buddies didn't want to shoot so he was tossing targets up to us to shoot. We would all walk out into the field to gather arrows. Unknown to us, he found a golf ball. The next round he tossed that golf ball up instead of an aerial target. I was locked in and I just came up and shot. I was locked in on it. When that arrow hit the golf ball, there was a Hugh roar behind us. We didn't realize there was 30-40 people sitting around watching. So I have plenty of witnesses and people still mention it.
