Looking to make some high FOC for elk and plan on shooting a 60 to 65 dalaa.  Not sure if the 340 or the 300 would be best planning on 100 brass insert,125 ad., and 190 griz.  What do you guys think? I draw 28 inches

340. Even with 400 up front, I think the 300 would be stiff. I'd be really tempted to buy 2 of the 400s too & just try 'em.

I know my setup's a little different, but to give you an idea, I'm drawing 63# on a Horne Carbon longbow (not quite cut to centre) arrows are 31" (I draw 30) shooting 300gn up front & I need to use the 400 spine Axis/MFX for perfect flight.

I would imagine, carbon being as length sensitive as it is, that the extra 100gn up front would more than offset the 2" length difference.

It would really depend on the bow. Rob's Horne is not quite to center...all of mine are cut past so I require a good bit heavier spine.

My 59@27" Morrsion Shawnee dakota shoots 340's with just the 16gr aluminum insert and 200 up front at 28 1/2" bop. Same riser, 63@27" limbs shoot 300's with 100gr insert and 200 up front 29" bop.

I would suggest getting a test kit from one of the sponsors...300's and 340's.

Sounds good JC just trying to get a heavy heavy skinny arrow

I did very weill with 29" 300's out of my 66# Groves with about 250 grains up front. I think the 340's would be underspined. I am shooting a 60# DAS right now and it loves the 340s' with 225 up front which seems to be the opitimal set up.

145 I`LL BE HUNTING ELK AS WELL IN SEPT AN SETTING UP THE SAME SET UP, BUT I`LL BE SHOOTING 62# MORRISON ILF TD. I SHOULD DRAW A TAGE FOR UNIT 76.  ALL THIS INFO IS VERY HELPFULL ON THIS EXFOC STUFF , I JUST ORDER A  MFX TEST KIT. I`LL LET U NO HOW I MAKE OUT. THANK`S 4 THE INFO GUYS!!

My bow is 62@28. draw about 28 1/2 so cut arrows 29 1/2.  I tested the 400s 340s and 300s.  The 340s with 300 grains up front gave me the best flight with the Axis/MFX style arrow!

Would depend on how you set up your center shot on the Dalaa, both would work if you adjust center shot and tweaked poundage but I would lean towards the 300 and leave them a little longer.
shoot straight shoot often
