Have a very big doe on my property.
She is about 6"-8" taller at the shoulders than the other deer in the neighborhood.
I've never seen her while hunting but I have been busted several times by a doe that will snort at me for over a half hour just out of sight.
I figure it must be the big MAMA like my wife calls her.
I do have trail cam pics of her.

Few years ago there was a 3 legged doe hanging around my property, was missing her right front leg. She had triplets every year. I couldn't get within 200 yards of her. Smartest darn deer I ever seen...  And god could she ever run.

Those big old smart does are harder to kill than a mature buck. I had one that has haunted me for the past four seasons but this year I got very very lucky and shot her at eight yard from the ground. It was a very humbling experience to have been givin the chance to kill such a fine deer and I was very grateful. Gets on my nerves when I hear someone say ahh its just a doe
