Interesting question.  It's interesting how rack size is the determining factor with those critters that have them, but weight comes into play with others.  Having  P&Y category for does could open up a whole new focus on deer hunting.

While we all know there’s no P&Y classification for a doe, I bet many of us can say we’ve never harvested a big, mature doe with trad equipment. I’ve taken a lot of does with trad gear, and I’ve taken a few “monster “ does with other weapons, but I’ve never taken one with trad gear. I guess an old doe is just too smart for me. A big old doe has saved the lives of many other deer while I was bow hunting. They are a challenging quarry.

She was obviously eating sugar beets for a month before hand.

My biggest harvest was a mature doe. She probably  weighed over 200lbs. I must have been extremely lucky because I haven't been able to harvest a doe since then. Bucks, particularly 2.5 years or younger, seem easy in comparison.

That's a big ol' doe for sure!  A buddy of mine took a huge doe on the last day of ND bow season a couple years ago.  If you didn't see the head, you would have thought it was a good sized buck.

Yep. I killed a Yooper doe that weighed an honest 147 after hanging for a week.

Nice hams on that old gal !! My wife shot an old doe that we had been seeing for a few years close to our house, she was huge had a head like a horse we weighed it after field dressing and it weighed 127 I thought it would be more than that .

Here's a pretty good one from this year. She came in with 2 other mature doe and 2 yearling. She was giant compared to the other 2 mature doe. This picture was taken after I gutted her.

I shot a doe this year that was an  honest 172# on the scale. I never weigh does but she was so different than all the others I have shot we finally did. I have shot several bucks that weren't as big!
