I like all the bows but right now it is the Foley for my future. IMHO it is hard to beat this bow in the T/D recurve for the price and performance. I just ordered one with a Bocote and Cocobola Riser, red cedar limb laminations, bamboo core, special tillering, and it was $775 new. This will be my hunting bow for next season.
The Silvertip is in the back of my mind also and I will chrono one against one of these bows at ETAR. It would need to be fast to suit my wants in a bow...it certainly is super smooth drawing.
I shoot heavy arrows so I like fast bows to compensate.
I bought the Morrison but it hurts my left shoulder for some reason so I just sold it on this site. The Morrison is a fine hair faster than the Foley if all things were equal at least that is how it looks to me when I play around with some math (which I'm not that good at anyway).
The guys chrongraph only worked accurately for arrows 30" or less so I wasn't able to shoot my 30 1/2" 600 grain Beeman MFX arrows through it which would spine perfect for the Morrison and the Fedora T/D. The results would have been more meaningful to me if I could have shot my actual arrows through it but I guess the results could seem the same. The arrow spine could have affected results along with a bunch of other things. These results are only meaningful to me for the way I shoot.
I was surprised the Fedora 560 was slow. I had Mike take out three pounds from the bow and perhaps this had some effect on the design and affected the speed. The Fedora T/D has a nice smooth draw. It seems to me that often the bows in the speed range of the Fedora often smoother draws than some of the performance bows. Surprisingly the foley for its performance has a smooth draw to me anyway.
I these three guys are in the top ten of bowyers and I would be happy with any of their bows.
