i wanted to know if anyone else on here has ever hunted with an elk hide draped over you? i have two times now and have actually gotten pushed out of the way by cows feeding.this my fellow hunters is as real as it gets,VERY close elk encounters, only prob is i keep missing the bull as the hide gets in the way when i try to lay some longbow law down.any help much appreciated

Sounds a bit dangerous to me, as in being the hunted instead of the hunter!
and yes, please post pics!

Just a little advice...dont let a 700 lb "rutting" bull sneak up behind you !

having trouble loading pics from my digital to computer, pentax acdsee won't load.be patient, it consists of entire hide with ears, tail, leg skin (tanned) then i took sleeves off raincoat and had them sewn onto hide then you just put it on like a coat when you get into a herd then crouch over as you get close and use mouth reed, and yes don't turn your back on a bull (ow).

Be careful... I don't think I'd take a shot at you in the open, but the thick stuff I wander around it...well, cows are legal and a man has got to eat.
I have had shots at 5 yards or so and though I could not see the entire animal, identified it as a legal animal and made the shot. I would crap if someday I found you inside the hide...please be careful. Brian
