Robert "RC" Carter on the Traditional Outdoors Podcast
« on: December 03, 2018, 08:57:02 AM »
You won’t find a more humble, down to earth, natural born turkey hog and deer slayer than Robert Carter! If you are a deer or hog hunter you owe it to yourself to give this one a listen! Robert goes by RC here on TradGang and though I have known him personally for several years this was the first time I really got to have a long conversation with him one on one. I have heard it said when RC walks through the meat department at the grocery store you can hear the pork whimpering because of all the hogs RC has taken with his bow. He gets it done year after year and we spend most of the time talking about his methods and tactics. If you are a deer or hog hunter you definitely want to give this one a listen!

If you do not regularly listen to podcasts you can listen to any of our episodes directly from the website. No additional software needed, just go to the bottom of the page in the link below and use the embeded player.

I already commented on this on Instagram but I'm looking forward to listening to this one... hopefully I'll be able to this evening as Robert has been a long time contributor to Tradgang with valuable hunting information. No doubt his podcast will be a benefit to many in several ways afield.

Yah I can't wait either!  RC could take critters with Popsicle sticks glued together if it could take a 27" draw!

RC is right up my alley, great guy! There's good hunters everywhere, but the good hunters in the south have more tags to use. These guys have killed hundreds of deer and know what works. Listen to these guys ,they are very confident but yet modest. i started bowhunting in 1992 and most years took over 7-8 deer . Something to be said about the experience and confidence gained through MULTIPLE shot opportunities.

Good stuff I’ve always enjoyed RC’s contribution. Guess I’ll have to wait on the snake bite story🤨. Funny I’ve seen times when Chestnut Oaks get hammered and some like mention that they’ll roll under your feet they’re so thick. Must be the soil. I was a Darton owner as well in those days.

That was great!  Have the same problem with chestnut oaks here, too.  They will drop piles of acorns and everything ignores them.
